11 year Nusrath used toil very hard making incense sticks along with her mother. Unfortunately Nusrath had never been to school due to poor economic family conditions, Mr. Colman’ s support for Nusrath’s long term Education is helping Nusrath realise her dream of going to school like her younger brother. Nusrath is only an example of scores of little girls who are forced to toil to supplement the family income and still dream of going to school every day.

Young Sara aged 17 years had been jilted by her lover who had promised to give her a good life after forcing her to elope with him. Sara came to know about his true colours only after 6 months of staying with him. She was physically abused and thrown out on streets. Having no where to go she was on the verge of committing suicide by jumping into river Moosi. one of the passersby, who happened to be our street volunteers approached her, consoled her and brought her to our shelter home. Sara was provided with shelter and vocational training in the short stay home run by Spandana and today we are happy to say that she is capable of earning her own income. Unfortunately as we had no details of the where about of the boy who deserted her we could not pursue with the case further. We find innumerable girls like Sara who are every day falling a prey to such kinds of abuses and are pressurized to end their own lives.
